The West Coast Region (Te Kaunihera Whakakotahi o Te Tai Poutini) extends over a distance of 600 km from Kahurangi Point in the north to Awarua Point in the south. The fifth largest region in New Zealand, it is bounded in the east by the Southern Alps and in the west by the Tasman Sea. Nature has endowed the Region with a spectacular environment, with over 80 per cent of the land area under Department of Conservation stewardship.

We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking Manager – Service Delivery to lead our Service Desk, information management, systems administration, device management and user enablement functions.
About the role
This is a varied leadership opportunity where you will:
Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Council’s IT and information management services
Drive a responsive, customer-focused Service Desk experience
Oversee information governance, privacy support, systems administration and device management
Ensure staff have fit-for-purpose technology and support to do their best work
Lead and develop a high-performing team
Manage vendors, budgets and service delivery outcomes aligned to Council priorities
Contribute to innovation, operational resilience and continuous improvement across the organisation
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You will bring:
Experience in IT service delivery, systems administration or information management
Proven leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams
Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills
Experience improving systems, processes and user experience
A practical understanding of information governance, privacy and compliance
A relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience)
