The West Coast Region (Te Kaunihera Whakakotahi o Te Tai Poutini) extends over a distance of 600 km from Kahurangi Point in the north to Awarua Point in the south. We are looking for a Senior Field Operator to join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional pest control operations. About the Role
As a Senior Field Operator, you will be at the forefront of our pest control initiatives, working closely with our Foreman, project leads, and team members to ensure our operations run smoothly and effectively. You will take pride in:

Operational Excellence: Independently performing pest control operations using approved methods and tools while supporting the seamless integration of aerial and ground initiatives.
Team Leadership: Providing hands-on guidance and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Compliance and Innovation: Ensuring all activities adhere to Council policies and legislation while contributing to the development of new strategies and tools for pest control.|
Professional Growth: Staying informed about advancements in pest control methods and pursuing opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, mentoring, and innovation while making a tangible difference in protecting our environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 3+ years in pest control operations, including using toxins, traps, and detection devices.
Qualifications: A Controlled Substances Licence and a full driver license. A Level 3 Certificate in Pest Management would be a bonus.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to mentor and train team members, fostering a supportive and solutions-focused working environment.
Attributes: Passion for environmental sustainability, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to innovation and professional development.
